Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of December 16

Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of December 16

Report Cards were sent home with students on Friday, December 13. Please let us know if you did not receive one for your child. Also, let your child’s teacher and/or me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Our Student Leadership Team wants to remind you that there is one more week for the “Little Toy Drive”. We still have some toys available for families. Feel free to come and take anything.

Also, we have some wonderful toy donations from the Dunphy Toy Drive. If you want to come and pick up some things, please call the office and let us know—or just stop by. We want to make sure that all of the toys get into homes for the holidays.

Photos

This week’s photos show lot of engaging and fun happenings at school last week. In Ms. Desmond’s 4th grade, they were baking bread and designing ways to get a marble to make a bell ring at the end of paper towel tubes. We must have great engineers because I heard many ringing bells! Also, our 4th graders were enjoying books with their kindergarten learning buddies. Buddy time is a Ryan Road favorite!

In first grade, we had a father (who is also a wonderful musician) entertain students and provide music for several 10 second dance parties! Such fun.

Second graders were reading by the “fire”. Very cozy.

5th graders participated in “Robot Week” with our amazing Technology Integration Specialist, Ms. Mariani-Prall. They were programming the little robots and then were teaching younger students some of the skills.

And, in art class some students were making clay birds and creating nests for them to nestle in. There were some adorable creations!
