Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of January 21, 2020

Please remember to send your children to school with warm outdoor gear. It looks like the beginning of the week will be chilly. We go outside unless it is below 15 degrees.

From Superintendent, Dr. John Provost:

Dear Caregivers,

We enter this budget season without knowing the outcome of the Proposition 2 1/2 override vote. As always, we will advocate for the high priority needs of our schools. Obviously, we would be able to address those needs more effectively with additional funding from the override. We will plan for either outcome by preparing multiple budget scenarios this year. As is always the case, we will solicit input from the faculty, staff, students, and community members to help us determine priorities for our budget planning. We invite you to share your thoughts by responding to this survey which is posted on the district website and available directly at this link.

Photos

This week’s photos show our fabulous students performing at our annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on the Thursday before the long weekend. It was wonderful! Thank you to all of you who were able to attend.

Community Calendar

It’s not too late to get your 2020 Community Calendar! They are available for $10 in the school office. Every month has a photo of one of our classes with a community leader.
