Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of January 7

Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of January 7

I attached some wonderful photos from our Pajama Day and Winter Solstice Celebration just before the holiday vacation.  It was such a fun day despite the rain that forced an indoor celebration. It was a good day to cozy up in pajamas!

 .

Mrs. Smiarowski’s class is seen with the noise makers they made for the parade. Our 4th and Kindergarten Learning Buddies make the noise makers together, and then walk in the parade together, too.

 .

Mrs. Cleary’s class is seen enjoying snack and a read-aloud—all looking adorable in their pajamas.

Another photo shows our Technology Integration Specialist, Rocky Mariani-Prall, teaching our second graders how to search nonfiction text, highlight interesting facts, and save them into another workspace. These skills will really help with their Nonfiction Unit.

The last photo shows some of our first graders with their engineering project that that they designed to catch a gingerbread person! Such fabulous inventors!
