Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of March 30, 2020

In case you did not hear the news about the extension of the school closures (until May 4) from Governor Baker:

It is hard to believe that we’ve only been out of school for two weeks. It feels like months have passed since I have seen your children. I continue to miss them and our regular school routine very much. I hope you are all doing O.K. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at school (587-1550) or via email (smadden@northampton-k12.us) if you need anything.

This week, schools will be receiving more information about virtual learning and our administrators and communities will be making plans about how to implement distance learning plans. More information will be coming this week.

I know this difficult time presents families with a multitude of difficulties and challenges (as well as, hopefully, some joyous times!). I have attached a document that outlines many different resources that you might find helpful.

Also, our fabulous Ms. Minton has created some activities for your children, which are attached. Enjoy!

Stay up to date (under normal circumstances!) with all of our school activities on our School Website’s Calendar!

I hope that all families feel welcome, comfortable, and valued at our school. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sarah Madden, Principal
