Principal Madden’s Weekly Update—Week of November 25

Photos

This week’s photos show our first All-School Walk. We went up to the new Rocky Hill Trail at the end of Overlook Drive. We had great walkers, and it was fun for all of us to be out walking together.

Did you know that members of our school community provide dessert to the homeless shelter on Center Street once a month? Members of Mrs. Ramsden’s class baked pumpkin cakes this past week. Speaking of cooking, Grow Food Northampton has started their lessons around healthy cooking and eating with local produce. You can see that we have great choppers in our kindergarten!

Our Girls on the Run team competed in Western Massachusetts 5K on Saturday. I included a couple of photos before the race began at Smith College. We have a great team!

The other photos show just a few of the things I have been impressed with in our hallways. Photos show some creative 5th great artwork and a visual representation of the seasons and months (very clever and lovely, too). The last photo shows some of our recent publications of weather photos in the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Our third graders often get published!
