Principal’s Weekly Update—Week of February 12

Greetings!

It was a rather dreary weekend, but the weather is forecast to be looking better this week!

    

Photos this week show 4th graders working on electrical circuits, kindergarten students celebrating wiggly teeth, Title 1 Reading Teacher, Mary Beth O’Connor working on a creative phonemic awareness lesson, and PE students are celebrating their own Olympics right here at R.K. Finn Ryan Road School!

In the Upcoming Dates below, you will notice the announcement of our second annual Science Night! This was a huge success last year, and we are looking forward to the night of fun and learning again!  Last week, there was an information night, and students were given tri-folds to display their projects. If you missed it,  but you want to get involved, tri-folds and the information sheet are available to anyone interested in the school office.

Important Upcoming Dates

  • February 12: 100th Day of School! Our kindergarten will have a parade around the school so that we can all see their 100th Day Vests! A tradition not to be missed!
  • February 13 at 6:30: Meeting for 4th Grade Parents regarding Nature’s Classroom
  • February 19-23: Winter Vacation
  • February 28 at 6:30: PTO Meeting
  • Friday, March 2 at 6:30 Science Night!
  • Friday, March 9 at 6:30: Final Movie Night of the dark season!
  • Tuesday, March 20 (changed date) at 9:30: Annual Music Concert! All are welcome.
  • Thursday, March 22 at 6:00: Coffee, Pie, and Academic Information Night
  • Thursday, March 29 at 6:00: Family Math Night!
