Principal’s Weekly Update—Week of October 2

Greetings!

The district has launched a new web site, which means that our school website will now have a different address. Please bookmark this address. The new site is still very much a district work in progress (and does not yet include new staff), however, I will continue to keep the Calendar section up to date with our events here at school.

Open House

Our Open House will take place on Wednesday, October 4 from 6-7. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate learning, meet your child’s teachers, and take a tour of our wonderful school. We also hope all families will have their photos taken for our hallway display of family photos. We might be taking the photos outside in our new outdoor classroom this year—check it out! The Scholastic Book Fair will take place from 5:30-7:30 in the gym. Also, we will have our Title 1 Annual Meeting in Beth Brady’s room from 5:30-6:00. We look forward to seeing you and hope that you will leave feeling excited about the upcoming school year!

Parent Conferences

Teachers are looking forward to meeting with parents during the week of October 23. Every day that week is an early release day for students with a 12:20 dismissal. There will be a spot in our library during Open House to sign up for conferences. Please help us by making your appointment(s). Thank you!

The photos show some of our fun adventures last week at school AND our fabulous school photo when we arranged ourselves into a DAY = NIGHT formation for the first day of fall.
