Dave is an advocate for students with disabilities and their families, as well as for individuals who have been historically underserved by public education. With nearly a decade of experience in special education and educational leadership, Dave served previously as a high school special education teacher and team chair for the Ralph C. Mahar Regional School. Prior to joining Northampton Public Schools, Dave served as the supervisor of special education services for the Ralph C. Mahar Regional, Orange Elementary, and Petersham school districts in north central Massachusetts. Passionate about increasing the capacity of individuals and organizations to provide high quality supports to students, families, and the educators who serve them, Dave is a doctoral student studying special education leadership and administration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His scholarly interests include organizational learning in schools and the impact of leadership styles on creating conditions that promote positive post-school outcomes for students.
