The Power of Poetry at JFK
Please join the JFK community in congratulating 8th grader Trey Rivera, whose poem “The Mill River”, was selected as a 2019 Poetry Finalist in the River of Words contest! Trey’s poem will be published in this year’s digital 2019 River of Words Anthology as well as next year’s 2019-20 printed anthology.
The River of Words team is based at Saint Mary’s College in California. Their program is entitled River of Words: Youth Art and Poetry Inspired by the Natural World. For more information about the program, click here.
